Ge Lemieux (they/them) (b.2003) holds a BFA in photography from Lesley University. They are a disabled artist making autobiographical self-portraits as a way of examining and understanding themself. Ge’s creative practice explores their chronic genetic skin condition, Keratosis Follicularis, and how living with this condition impacts their identity and gender expression as a non-individual. Ge is passionate about creating inclusive exhibition spaces for artists within Marginalized communities. Ge finds themself interested in experimental lens based media and installation work. As for areas of research they are looking into the intersection of art and medicine, as well as art and the body, and how those representations have changed throughout history.
Their work has been shown in the Greater Boston Area most notably in Ge’s work the Raizes Gallery Deconstructing Disability show in 2024. They were the Director of Lesley University’s Student Run Art Gallery, Gallery South, from 2022-2025. Currently, they are the Curatorial and Archive Intern at the Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester, MA.
